2024 Gus Schwartz
Memorial Alumni Event

Date: December 28th, 2024
Time: 12:30 PM until 4:30 PM and then 7:05 PM LV Phantoms vs Charlotte Checkers game
Location: PPL Center Allentown, PA

Gus was a Parkland Ice Hockey alum and was tragically killed in a car accident on December 14th, 2021 coming home from Penn State. Gus was and will always be a part of our hockey family. This is our 3rd year holding the Gus Schwartz Memorial Alumni Event to honor and remember him and what he meant to this organization and our family.

Doors will open around 12:00 PM. All players and spectators will enter through the Air Products gate at 7th and Linden Streets.

ALL PLAYERS AND SPECTATORS will be required to purchase an event ticket. This ticket can be purchased through the appropriate link via or the QR Code on the event flyer. This ticket will allow entrance to the alumni events during the day and re-entry back into the PPL Center for the Phantoms vs. Checkers game at 7:05 PM.  All players and spectators MUST leave the PPL Center at 4:30 PM.

All Alumni players MUST register to play in any of the games. Register through the appropriate link or via the QR Code on the event flyer.

All current players will register by replying to their availability on the TeamSnap app.

Overview of the schedule (times are subject to change slightly):

12:00 PM – Air Product gate doors open for players and spectators
12:30 PM – Opening Remarks and Moment of Silence
12:35 PM –Middle School players will be mixed for a 30-minute scrimmage.
1:05 PM to 1:15 PM – Ice Cut
1:15 PM to 4:15 PM – Alumni games (number of teams and games to be determined by quantity of
players registered)
4:15 PM – On ice pictures and announcement of raffle winners
4:30 PM – Everyone MUST leave the PPL Center, but can use their ticket to re-enter at 6:05 PM for the
Phantoms’ game
7:05 PM –LV Phantoms vs Charlotte Checkers
1st Intermission – PIHC Developmental and Youth players Mites-On-Ice

**All proceeds, including $5 from every event ticket sold will go to support the Parkland Ice Hockey Club, the 2024-25 new player uniforms, and the Gus Schwartz Memorial College Scholarship (awarded to a PIHC Varsity senior).
